
One of the best parts of working for The Office of Student Transitions and Family Engagement at the University of Colorado-Denver is getting to highlight all of the fun campus events and happenings. This particular poster was for the week before classes begin, when the downtown campus is buzzing with the arrival of new students.
This poster required communication between several different offices of the University, as the different events where sponsored by several groups. As such, it helped exercise my communication skills. Additionally, there were very quick turn around times as events were frequently being renamed, rescheduled, or otherwise changed.
The diagonal lines add visual interest to the design overall, while the pictures of students demonstrate the fun community and diversity that can be found on campus and at events such as the ones listed. The colors and font choices are consistent with the branding standards set by the University.
